Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how 7BE Inc. (“7BE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when individuals visit 7be.io, create or administer business accounts, appear in public business profiles, communicate with us, or use our marketplace, Project, Verification, and related services.

7BE Inc. is a Delaware corporation located at 2055 Limestone Road, Suite 200-C, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, USA. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@7be.io.

1. Scope and Roles

This Policy applies to the personal information for which 7BE determines the purposes and means of processing, including website, account, billing, marketplace, security, analytics, and business-development information.

For Customer Personal Data that a Buyer submits for a Project and instructs 7BE to process, the Buyer is generally the controller or business and 7BE is the processor or service provider. That processing is governed by the 7BE Data Processing Addendum. 7BE remains an independent controller for account administration, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, and its own business records.

This Policy does not govern an Agency’s independent processing, a Buyer’s own systems, or third-party services under their separate notices.

The Services are business-to-business and are not directed to children under 18.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide

We collect information such as:

  • name, business email, phone number, job title, employer, location, profile photo, account credentials, and communication preferences;
  • company identity, ownership, business type, team size, service categories, rates, skills, certifications, portfolio, website, client references, and other profile content;
  • Project briefs, proposals, requirements, messages, attachments, Deliverables, test evidence, reviews, support requests, and feedback;
  • billing contact, plan, transaction, tax, payout, and invoice information; and
  • information provided for identity, business, sanctions, fraud, or credential checks.

Payment providers process payment-card and bank credentials. 7BE generally receives payment tokens, account status, transaction identifiers, limited bank or card details, and compliance results rather than complete card numbers.

Customer and Verification Data

For an approved Project, we may receive production or test data, prompts, outputs, logs, model or system configurations, performance metrics, credentials, or other evidence necessary to administer and verify the Project. We require data minimization, limited access, approved subprocessors, purpose limitation, security, and deletion under the Project Order and Data Processing Addendum.

We do not use Customer Data to train or improve a general-purpose or shared machine-learning model and do not permit our subprocessors to do so for their own purposes.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we and approved providers may collect IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referral page, pages and features used, dates and times, approximate location, cookie or similar identifiers, session and performance data, and security events.

Non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are used only as allowed by applicable law and your choices. See the Cookie Policy.

Information from other sources

We may receive business contact and profile information from:

  • your employer, teammates, Buyers, Agencies, references, or authorized representatives;
  • identity, payment, fraud, sanctions, and authentication providers;
  • public websites, company pages, professional networks, government or corporate registries, and published portfolios;
  • business-data and marketing providers; and
  • integration partners when you authorize a connection.

Where required, we provide notice of material indirect collection and honor valid access, correction, objection, and deletion requests.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, administer, and secure accounts;
  • publish requested profiles, portfolios, reviews, briefs, and directory listings;
  • match Buyers and Agencies, enable proposals and communications, and recommend relevant opportunities;
  • form and administer Project Orders, funding, Verification, Cure, Re-test, disputes, refunds, and payment instructions;
  • process subscriptions, Connects, invoices, taxes, payouts, and transaction records;
  • provide support, service notices, and requested communications;
  • verify identity, business, credentials, and marketplace integrity;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, sanctions violations, and unlawful conduct;
  • operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Services;
  • personalize content and, with required consent, measure or deliver marketing;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with law; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not reasonably identify a person, User, confidential Project, or Customer.

Automated tools

We may use automated tools to classify profiles and briefs, suggest matches, summarize materials, detect abuse, and assist Verification. We use human oversight appropriate to the risk and do not rely on solely automated processing to make a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects on an individual unless applicable law permits it and required safeguards are provided.

4. Legal Bases for EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on:

PurposeTypical legal basis
Account, subscription, marketplace, Project, and support servicesPerformance of a contract or steps requested before contract
Security, fraud prevention, matching, service improvement, B2B administration, and limited direct marketingLegitimate interests, balanced against individual rights
Non-essential cookies, certain advertising, or optional communicationsConsent, which may be withdrawn
Tax, accounting, sanctions, law-enforcement, and regulatory dutiesLegal obligation
Legal claims, serious security, and protection of rightsLegitimate interests or another basis allowed by law

When we rely on legitimate interests, you may request information about the balancing assessment and may object as described below.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary:

  • Public and marketplace users. Information you choose for a public profile, directory, portfolio, review, badge, or public brief may be visible to anyone and indexed by search engines.
  • Buyers and Agencies. We share information needed to evaluate a proposal, communicate, form a Project, perform work, verify results, and resolve disputes.
  • Service providers and subprocessors. We use providers for hosting, databases, security, authentication, communications, support, analytics, marketing, automation, payment processing, and approved Project-specific AI or testing. They are limited by contract and listed in our Subprocessor List where applicable.
  • Payment and compliance providers. We disclose information required for charges, payouts, refunds, tax reporting, identity, sanctions, fraud, chargebacks, and payment-provider rules.
  • Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to auditors, insurers, lawyers, accountants, regulators, courts, or authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • Corporate transactions. Information may be disclosed in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, insolvency, or asset transfer, subject to confidentiality and applicable notice requirements.
  • With direction or consent. We disclose information when you direct us, authorize an integration, or give consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain US state laws even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, we provide a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information or similar control, require consent where necessary, and honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.

6. Public Business Profiles and Public Sources

Agency and professional profiles are intended to help business buyers discover providers. A profile may contain business identity, professional contact details, services, location, portfolio, reviews, public-source facts, and activity or verification labels.

If 7BE created or supplemented a profile from public or licensed sources, the person or business may claim, correct, object to, restrict, or request removal of personal information by contacting privacy@7be.io. We may retain a minimal suppression record to avoid recreating a removed profile and to document the request.

Removal from 7BE does not remove copies from search engines, original sources, or third parties that independently collected the information.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary technologies for authentication, security, preferences, load balancing, and requested features. With any consent required by law, we may use analytics, support, personalization, and advertising technologies.

Our consent interface provides Accept, Reject, and Manage Choices controls with comparable prominence where required. You may withdraw consent at any time through Cookie Settings. Browser settings may also block cookies, but some Services may not function.

Details appear in the 7BE Cookie Policy and the current cookie-preference interface.

8. Marketing Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the message link or by contacting privacy@7be.io. We may retain a suppression record so we do not send further marketing. Transactional and security messages are not marketing and may continue while you use the Services.

Where permitted, we may send relevant business-to-business communications based on role and apparent professional interest. We honor objections and do not use sensitive Project data for marketing.

9. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, contract, security, dispute, and legal obligations. Typical periods are:

RecordTypical retention
Account and profile informationWhile active and up to 3 years after closure
Contracts, invoices, tax, and transaction records7 years or longer if legally required

Analytics identifiersUp to 14 months, subject to consent settings

We may retain information longer for a legal hold, dispute, fraud prevention, sanctions, tax, or other documented legal requirement. We may retain de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify a person.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information according to its sensitivity and risk. Measures include access controls, least privilege, authentication, encryption in transit, encryption at rest where supported, logging, secure development, vulnerability management, backups, incident response, vendor review, and personnel confidentiality.

No system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials, use appropriate access controls, and avoid placing sensitive data in public fields. Suspected security issues may be reported to security@7be.io.

11. International Transfers

7BE is based in the United States and uses providers in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws.

Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, an adequacy decision, or another lawful safeguard. We rely on a Data Privacy Framework only if the relevant recipient is currently certified for the applicable data and transfer.

You may request information about applicable safeguards at privacy@7be.io.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on location and subject to exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • know whether we process your personal information and access or receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete personal information;
  • restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing;
  • receive certain information in portable form;
  • opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling;
  • appeal our decision on a request; and
  • complain to a privacy or data-protection authority.

To exercise a right, email privacy@7be.io with the request and enough information for us to identify the relevant record. We may verify identity and authority proportionately. An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits, subject to proof of authority.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If we deny a request, we will explain why and provide an appeal method where required. You may appeal by replying with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

Residents of the EEA may complain to their local supervisory authority. UK residents may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. US residents may contact the privacy regulator or attorney general in their state.

13. California Notice at Collection

During the preceding 12 months, 7BE may have collected the categories described in this Policy: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or network activity; approximate geolocation; professional or employment information; audio, visual, or similar content submitted by Users; inferences for matching, security, or personalization; and sensitive personal information limited to account credentials, financial-account access handled through payment providers, precise location only if intentionally enabled, and Project data a Customer is authorized to provide.

We use and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes in Sections 3 and 5. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals or beyond purposes permitted without a right to limit, unless we provide the required control.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16.

14. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through an account. If you believe a child supplied personal information, contact privacy@7be.io. Project data concerning minors may be processed only when expressly approved, legally authorized, and protected by an appropriate Project Order and addendum.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, providers, or Services. We will post the updated version and effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
