What 7BE reads, and what it never touches
7BE works from public pages. Here is what the free scan reads, what the WooCommerce plugin sends, what the Shopify app will ask for, and where the data lives.
Public pages in, shopper questions out
- Product catalog
- Product and policy pages
- robots.txt and llms.txt
- Writes shopper questions
- Scores AI readiness
- Keeps results in private storage
- Name products and brands
- Carry no personal information
- Answers come back to 7BE
Customer, order and admin data never enter this flow.
What a scan reads
The same public pages a shopper or a search engine can see. The scan never signs in to your store.
Our scanner identifies itself as 7BE-ShelfScan.
- Your public product catalog: Shopify's /products.json, or the WooCommerce Store API.
- Your home page and one product page.
- Your refund and shipping policy pages.
- robots.txt and llms.txt.
- The result is a public page at 7be.io/shelf/<your store>. A store owner can ask us to take it down.
The WooCommerce plugin
What 7BE AI Shelf for WooCommerce sends and reads, step by step.
Needs WordPress 6.3 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, WooCommerce, and a store reachable over HTTPS.
- When you click Connect store, the plugin sends 7BE your store address, your store name, the email you enter and a random connection code.
- 7BE then requests a short-lived token from your store's REST route (/wp-json/sevenbe/v1/verify) to confirm the plugin runs on your site.
- Scans read your public catalog through the WooCommerce Store API, and your public product, policy and robots.txt pages. No customer, order or admin data is sent.
- The dashboard loads from 7be.io in a frame on the plugin's admin page, through a link signed with your store's key.
- Paid plans are paid on Stripe's own checkout page.
- Version 0.1 only reads. It adds an admin page and one public REST route used during connection.
The Shopify app
The 7BE Shopify app is in early access. It will ask for read access to your products.
- Shopify shows the exact permissions on the install screen before you approve them.
- The app will run inside your Shopify admin.
- Paid plans will be billed through your Shopify invoice.
- Until then, the free scan works on any Shopify store with no install.

Questions about data
Does the plugin change my store?
No. Version 0.1 only reads public pages. It adds an admin page and one public REST route used during connection.
What happens when I disconnect the plugin?
The plugin forgets its connection. A paid plan keeps running until you cancel it under Billing in the dashboard.
Can someone else scan my store?
Yes. The free scan reads public pages, so anyone can scan a public store, and the result is a public page. If you own the store, you can ask us to take that page down.
Do you sell data?
No. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use advertising cookies. The details are in our privacy policy.
